Tom Clark

Tom Clark is an accomplished IT leader with extensive experience driving digital transformation, implementing innovative solutions, and optimising operational processes across highly regulated industries. He currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Ardonagh Advisory, leading technology strategy for the UK's largest independent insurance broker and underwriting group.
Previously, Clark spent more than six years as CIO at Leeds Building Society. He spearheaded key transformations including migrating the core banking platform to the cloud, strengthening IT resilience and security, digitising business processes and adopting agile ways of working. Under his leadership, the Society successfully implemented a new technology stack to enable automation, open banking and API integrations.
Clark has a proven track record of enhancing customer experience through technology-driven initiatives. As CIO at Lowell, one of Europe's largest credit management firms, he authored the 2023 IT strategy to modernise and converge 27 legacy platforms, driving operational efficiency. He also recovered failing technology projects through effective restructuring.
His expertise spans areas like cloud adoption, cybersecurity, operational resilience, and technology governance. Clark serves as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of the BCS and University of Leeds, providing strategic technology guidance. He is passionate about leveraging technology to solve business challenges and drive growth in complex environments.
