Britannia turns HR systems self-service
The building society has upgraded its HR and payroll systems to improve job satisfaction
Employee satisfaction is linked to positive customer service, says Britannia
Britannia Building Society is aiming to improve customer service and reduce its impact on the environment by upgrading its HR systems.
The self-service system, provided by the company's existing HR and payroll supplier SAP, will reduce paper-based processes and provide staff with better information.
Attracting and keeping the right staff is integral to Britannia's agenda and these systems will smooth their workload, said Helen Bates, Strategy Manager, Britannia.
"Our people lie at the heart of our strategy and delivering a great people experience, to attract and retain the right staff, is vital to meeting our future business challenges," she said.
"We wanted to create a single view of our employees and the infrastructure to support them throughout their career and also to bring our payroll system in house, which was previously outsourced, to give us greater flexibility."
"By providing managers with the tools to manage more effectively and support the development of their teams, it will create an environment where everyone is the best they can be.
