BBC to invest £1.7m in new marketing management system
Broadcaster wants to streamline and standardise its marketing operations
The BBC has released a procurement notice for an Enterprise Marketing Management system worth £1.7m.
The broadcaster is looking for a system and related tools to support the development of new ways of managing marketing systems to increase efficiency, streamline and standardise processes, better control campaign spend and measure performance.
The contract will see the service providers managing software licences, as well as providing implementation services and ongoing software support.
In terms of the criteria the BBC will use to select the successful applicants, the tender said it would: "Choose the most economically advantageous tender in terms of the criteria stated in the specifications."
In the case of technology requirements, the BBC may involve its technology partner Siemens IT Solutions and Services to assist in the scoping and drafting of invitations to tender.
However, the final decision as to which is the most economically advantageous tender will be made by the BBC.
The broadcaster will accept applications until the 18 August 2011.
