Ryanair to sell targeted ads on boarding passes
Low-cost airline looks to boost revenue with innovative advertising technology
Low-cost airline Ryanair will sell targeted advertising aimed at passengers in a bid to increase its revenue.
The airline is working with London-based in-flight magazine producer Ink to offer ads that can be customised according to a traveller's route and demographic data.
The ads will be displayed online and on home-printed boarding passes.
Ryanair said in a statement: "Passengers are required to reference their boarding cards on a number of occasions during a trip, providing repeat exposure for advertisers."
