Volkswagen looks to consolidate IT platforms

Signs five-year with TCS to migrate UK IT systems to a single platform

VW will use a mix of onshore and offshore IT

Car maker Volkswagen has signed a five-year deal with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) that will see its UK operations consolidate IT systems onto a single platform.

TCS will provide onshore and offshore support for Volkswagen's UK operation, covering brands such as Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen, as it moves to a single, standardised business platform.

It is also the first time that Volkswagen has looked to use a mixture of onshore and offshore services within a single IT contract.
