HSBC embarks on £50m network overhaul
Five year deal to replace legacy systems
Global banking giant HSBC is replacing its UK legacy communications network in a £50m deal over five years.
Network operator Thus, formerly Scottish Power Telecommunications Holdings, will provide multi-media capable network functionality for the bank's UK business operations at more than 2,200 HSBC sites.
Tim Cureton, group head of telecommunications at HSBC says the project will enable HSBC to move forward to deliver a variety of IP-enhanced services for customers.
