NetScout has announced a new OptiView XG network analysis tablet, which will feature a customisable dashboard, enhanced reporting, and integration with the NetScout nGeniusONE Service Assurance platform.
"The OptiView XG has long held an industry-wide reputation as the most trusted tool for troubleshooting remote locations," said Michael Szabados, Chief Operating Officer at NetScout.
"This new release, which includes a variety of notable, timely enhancements, makes the OptiView XG an ideal wireless companion to nGeniusONE, allowing IT professionals to diagnose and troubleshoot in the field from the user perspective and gain a consistent view across their wireless and wired infrastructures.
"This powerful, portable tool enables network and field engineers to diagnose and fix problems faster, and ensure the security and performance of the wireless infrastructure," he added.
NetScout claims to have made improvements to its network analyser including a new dashboard with critical network health data, which it says will give network engineers instant insight into the health of their network infrastructure and vital network paths.
"Network engineers have come to rely on the OptiView XG as their preferred WLAN and network infrastructure analyser," said Michael Pennacchi, owner, Network Protocol Specialists.
"With these latest enhancements to this best-in-class tool, NetScout enables engineers to automate the analysis of wired and wireless network infrastructure problems, helping to eliminate shoot-from-the-hip troubleshooting practices. By offering first-of-its kind best practices for wireless and remote sites, the OptiView XG effectively supports team collaboration, speeds up problem isolation and creates reports that ultimately save time and money," he said.
