Ofcom looking to boost its IT skills

Regulatory body puts out tender for training in IT

Ofcom seeks training on Microsoft Office applications, among others

Regulator Ofcom has released a contract notice asking suppliers to provide a range of learning and development services across all functions of the business, including IT.

It is searching for a supplier to support the development of IT skills including, but not limited to, training on Microsoft Office applications, business application software and enterprise resource planning, including SAP solutions.

Ofcom is also on the lookout for suppliers to provide training in the areas of project management, specialist skills, personal and team performance and leadership and management.

Although the regulator has not said how much the contract is worth, it intends to use an e-tendering system in the procurement exercise and reserves the right to use a reverse auction.
