Helpdesk system supports Vista control and deployment

NetSupport Manager tool for IT helpdesk staff will support remote control and deployment

NetSupport Limited has announced version 10.02 of its NetSupport Manager tool for IT helpdesk staff. The update includes support for remote control and deployment of both 32bit and 64bit versions of Windows Vista, according to the firm.

NetSupport Manager is a single tool that can fulfil multiple functions needed by corporate helpdesk staff, such as remote control, remote deployment, hardware and software inventory, and remote screen monitoring and recording.

With support for admin clearance under Vista's user account control (UAC) system, NetSupport Manager 10.02 delivers a complete remote management solution for Vista, without compromising the additional security in the new OS, the company said.

NetSupport Manager also supports Windows versions from Windows 95 onwards, plus Mac OS, Linux, Solaris and Microsoft's embedded platforms. A 30-day trial version is available from the web site.
