Transforming our software development function to create an autonomous, self-improving organisation, delivering products in partnership with the business that are driving improvement throughout our sector.
What's the number one skill today's IT leaders need?
Curiosity: as business and operations teams develop greater understanding of technology, it can perhaps perversely lead to an increasing distance between those teams delivering technology and those consuming it. A constant curiosity will encourage dialogue, understanding and ultimately efficient solutions that work for an entire organisation.
How many people work in IT in your organisation?
120 directly in the technology department, probably another 50 in related and ‘shadow' IT functions.
What's your top priority for the next 12 months?
To maximise the productivity of the business through the investment and successful adoption of new technologies, as diverse as a digital workplace and advanced data analytics.
What's your annual IT budget?
Around £10m per year, plus strategic programmes.
