Acer Iconia One 7 video
We check out Acer's latest Nexus 7 competitor
Acer unveiled its latest Nexus 7 challenger, the Acer Iconia One 7, at an event in New York last week, and V3 was there to get a hands-on look at the 7in Android tablet.
The Iconia One 7 is all about design, with Acer set to make the tablet available in 10 colour options with a textured, fingerprint-resistant casing.
Beyond its colourful design, the Iconia One 7 features a dual-core Intel processor, an HD IPS display, dual cameras, and Google's Android mobile operating system.
However, the tablet will arrive running the ageing Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, although Acer is promising that it will be upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat. We just don't know when yet.
Much like the Asus Fonepad, the Iconia One 7 tablet is also capable of making phone calls, for those brave enough to hold a 7in device against their face.
Acer also unveiled the Windows 8.1-powered Aspire Switch 10 last week, which looks to rival Lenovo's Yoga devices.
