Fujitsu announces new UK CEO
Duncan Tait, formerly managing director of the private sector business, heads up UK and Ireland
IT services provider Fujitsu has appointed a new chief executive to head its UK and Ireland team. Duncan Tait has stepped up from his role as managing director of the company's private sector business to the role of CEO for the region.
Fujitsu said that Tait was selected for his achievements in growing the company's revenue from the private sector significantly, with customer wins and contract extensions from large businesses such as Whitbread, Shell and Stagecoach.
He replaces Roger Gilbert, who was in the post since early 2009 and will now take up the role of executive chairman for the UK and Ireland.
Tait said that in his new role he will be focusing on three key priorities: delivering excellence in client service; launching the new cloud services portfolio; and increasing the profile of the Fujitsu brand in the market.
