Immigration agency lets £6.7m deal

Siemens Business Services will manage application processes and payment

The Home Office's Immigration and Nationality Directorate (IND) has signed a £6.7m deal with supplier Siemens Business Services to administrate two of the agency's application processes.

The three-year contract includes managing the receipt of applications for 'work permits' and 'leave to remain', recording details, processing payments and submission to IND for the decision-making process.

The work will be spread over two sites, in Durham and Sheffield and the supplier will also be responsible for cashier functions at the agency's Public Enquiry Offices across the country.
