Swiss Re extends IT services contract
Re-insurer will continue using Perot Systems to support its administrative processes for another 10 years
Swiss Re will continue to use Perot Systems for areas such as customer service
Insurance firm Swiss Re has extended a business process outsourcing deal with Perot Systems for a further 10 years.
The renewal will see Perot continuing to provide administrative and business process services, including IT support for new acquisitions, as well as customer service and transaction processing through the supplier’s service policy administration platform.
Business process services provided by the outsourcer also include product engineering, claim application processing, life insurance policy administration, running of call centres, payment and settlement and services to improve the collection of receivables.
Elsewhere in the insurance sector, insurer RSA (formerly Royal & Sun Alliance) has extended its BPO deal with Accenture for a further two years. The firm claimed that high service levels and cost reduction were the factors driving the contract renewal.
