HM Prison Service has spent £200m outsourcing its wireless Lans and IT infrastructure to EDS. The 12-year Quantum project will replace more than 12,500 desktops and 30,000 telephones. The network will run on Windows and allow records to be stored, updated and transferred electronically to avoid double data entry.
