Hewlett-Packard has extended its instant Capacity on Demand (iCOD) scheme to storage hardware. Its SureStore E Disk Array XP256 will allow customers to expand their storage capacity on a pay-on-demand basis. The storage capacity is reviewed every quarter, allowing it to be reduced or increased as necessary. The iCOD-enabled XP256 will be available from 1 April this year.
