Dorset County Council issues £30m tender for EIAA and end-user computing
Council seeks framework agreement with suitable suppliers to help it deliver enterprise information assurance architecture
Dorset County Council has issued a £30m tender for enterprise information assurance architecture (EIAA) and end-user computing.
The notice, found in The Official Journal of the European Union, states that the council is seeking to establish a framework agreement with suitable suppliers to provide the supporting expertise, products and resources to assist the council in delivering an EIAA and end-user computing in two separate lots.
It will award a single supplier each lot, but suppliers can bid for both lots as long as they have the capability to deliver all of the requirements which include design, supply of products, installation, support and previous experience in dealing with a similar project.
The council said that its spend will be approximately £3m for each lot, but the estimated value for the entire duration of the framework will range between £1 and £30m.
This is due to the upper limit being set to allow interest from other public sector bodies.
The contract, covered by the Government Procurement Agreement (GPA) is for an initial period of three years, is expected to start in June or July 2014. It can be extended by a further year subject to performance.
