Company races demo tablet against Nexus 10 in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS: Nvidia claims its Tegra 4 processor is nearly twice as fast as rivals on the market that are being used to power high-end tablets.
The chip maker made the claim during its Consumer Electronics Show (CES) press conference in Las Vegas on Sunday after racing a demo Tegra 4 tablet against the Samsung made Nexus 10.
The test saw the company see which tablet could open 25 webpages faster. In the demo the Nexus 10 lost out taking over 50 seconds to finish load the pages while the demo tablet took a mere 27.
The company went on to claim the chip was equally better than the A6 chip used in Apple's latest iPad.
However, the chip is yet to be properly benchmarked, making it difficult to tell the authenticity of Nvidia's claims.
