Bupa installs new communications system
Private health care provider awards contract to vendor Thunderhead
Private health provider Bupa has awarded a contract to vendor Thunderhead to develop a platform to generate all communication to its UK members, groups and providers.
The system will generate outbound documents in letter, email and has the ability to send out SMS notifications. It will cover all communication including standards letters, statements, as well as ad hoc correspondence such as claims letters with its UK membership group.
Jeremy Maycock, application programme manager at Bupa group information systems says the system is crucial to maintaining customer service levels.
'The solution will allow us to bring new products and services to market more quickly, reduce our costs and operational risk, and produce timely and accurate communications via any delivery channel our customers may require.'
Bupa’s business users will be able to develop, test, generate and edit documents quickly and easily, without needing to rely on IT resources. This reduces the cost of document production and accelerates the speed-to-market for new documentation.
The system's audit trail capabilities will also help Bupa comply with regulatory and internal audit controls.
