New Look aims to wow customers with new e-commerce system
Surge in online sales prompts fashion retailer to deploy a new e-commerce system
New Look is revamping its system to support expansion
Fashion retailer New Look will implement a new e-commerce platform to provide a complete view of its customer interactions and offer personalised online services.
The software will be rolled out by Accenture and is expected to provide New Look with a clear view of customer activity across all contact channels. The ATG-supplied system also enables extra functions in areas such as reporting and search.
According to the retailer, online transactions now match the sales volume of its main branches, so rolling out the new software became a priority.
“Having successfully grown our e-commerce business to a 2.79 per cent market share, we have recognised our customers' appetite to enjoy a true multi-channel experience,” said Adrian Thompson, group business change director at New Look.
As well as making improvements to its online setup, recent projects geared at increasing New Look’s operational flexibility and scalability for its international operations include the re-engineering of its buying and merchandising function, based on a service-oriented architecture platform.
