Microsoft and Telefonica team up to woo developers
Partnership will see Microsoft tools made available to Telefonica developers
Microsoft and Spain-based telco Telefonica have teamed up in a bid to merge and grow their respective developer ecosystems.
The move follows the launch of Telefonica's developer platform BlueVia earlier this year.
Microsoft developers will now have access to details from Telefonica's subscriber base and will be able to create telecoms-targeted apps using a software development kit made available via the portal.
The kit will include the Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft Silverlight and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. It will also include Windows Azure, which will help developers create internet-scale applications.
