Misys returns to revenue growth

Orders from banking and finance sectors offset decline in healthcare business

Misys' unadjusted healthcare software sales were down one per cent

UK software company Misys has announced unaudited financial results that estimate growth in reported annual revenue of five per cent for the financial year 2008, up from the £470m reported in 2007. The total value of contracts signed was up eight per cent to £261m, said the company.

Misys delivers a range of software and services to companies in the financial and healthcare sectors, employing 4,500 people in 120 countries.

Most of the growth came from the group's banking and treasury and capital markets (TCM) divisions, with healthcare revenues down three per cent on the £196m reported in 2007. Misys is currently in the process of merging its healthcare business with Allscripts Healthcare Solutions.
