Met signs £214m IT framework deals

Frameworks will save time and improve value for money, says the London police force

Seventeen suppliers are on the four-year framework

London's Metropolitan Police has signed an IT services framework deal worth up to £214m to improve competitiveness and value for money.

The contract was brokered through the Met Police Authority with 17 suppliers and will complement the technology contract the force already has with Capgemini.

The four-year deals cover five categories: IT project lifecycles, business change services, technical consultancy, technical solutions provision and IT research and development.

Putting in place contracts will improve competition, speed up the Met's access to new services and enable the development of partnerships with a range of external suppliers, says the force.

Companies in the framework include Atos Origin, Fujitsu and BT.
