Updated Microgen BPM suite offers more flexibility

Upgrade to Aptitude suite makes it quicker and easier for users to optimise business processes

Business users can change processes more quickly

UK-based IT services and solutions provider Microgen has updated its Microgen Aptitude business process management suite, with the aim of making it quicker and easier for organisations to optimise their business processes.

Microgen chief technology officer Neil Thompson said Extended Dynamic Configuration functionality within Microgen Aptitude 2.5 means that organisations can now make changes to business processes and redeploy them, without having to go back into the development environment. Instead amendments can be made and put live immediately.

Thompson said the update is designed to meet the need for organisations to be more flexible when responding to business processes. “Waiting weeks for a single change to a business process can lead to a loss of revenue and the failure to capitalise on market opportunities,” said Thompson.

Now business process logic can be updated directly in production environments by business users changing data in tables or through workflow depictions, he added.

Other enhancements include Microgen Aptitude 2.5’s workflow functionality, which has been expanded to manage more complex scenarios and to incorporate load balancing.
