Dundee Council to improve connectivity

Traffic is now automatically failed over to a backup connections

Dundee's internet connections are nower more reliable and more secure

Dundee City Council has improved the strength and redundancy of its IT and security infrastructures.

The local authority wanted to have dual internet feeds that would automatically failover in the event of a wide-area connection outage.

It has installed technology from vendor Stonesoft which provides highly available ISP connectivity. If one link fails, traffic is automatically moved to a backup connection or connections.

Multi-Link supports many types of Internet links, including leased lines, modem connection and satellite.
