Toy shop seeks to drive online traffic
Leading toy shop Hamleys is turning to an online marketing and sales company to help it boost online sales in the run-up to Christmas.
It has entered into an affiliate programme with TradeDoubler, which drives traffic from popular third party web sites to increase online sales.
The partnership follows a revamp of the toy shop’s web site, which has been re-designed to improve usability and increase the conversion of browsing to sales.
Hamleys trading director Paul Currie the web site will enable it to expand its reach around the UK and the world.
‘The challenge we face is driving targeted traffic to our new website and converting this traffic into actual online sales,’ he said. ‘That’s where TradeDoubler comes in.
‘They have an excellent reputation for driving results and working with them will give us access to a wealth of online experience.’
