Republic buys new PoS system

Fashion retailer opts for Torex solution

Fashion retailer Republic gets a new PoS solution

Fashion retailer Republic has implemented Torex's Retail point-of-sale solution (PoS) to automate its business processes; it hopes this will increase efficiency and reduce administration across its 105 stores.

The system offers real-time reporting as well as cash and stock management.

Republic said that it opted for Torex Retail PoS as it had outgrown its existing, labour-intensive legacy PoS solution and wanted a long-term technology partner with a history of success within the retail industry.

The Torex platform will enable the retailer to comply with payment card industry data security standards (PCI-DSS) and realise its national and international expansion plans.

The retailer hopes to extend the solution beyond PoS to include multi-channel functionality such as click and collect, as well as in-store customer ordering from a web fulfilment system.

Nick Rennardson, head of IT at Republic said: “The Torex platform is flexible and offers lots of functions, while providing essential security in the form of PCI DSS compliance. We have completed our ambitious UK rollout ahead of schedule and look forward to introducing multi-channel enhancements throughout the year.”
