Swiss RE to standardise processes

All business functions will be moved to a single SAP platform

Swiss RE has recently sold the London Gherkin

Insurance company Swiss Re is installing software to standardise its human resources, finance and logistics processes.

The new system from software vendor SAP will move all business processes onto a single technology platform to improve efficiency and provide employees with faster access to more reliable information.

'We needed a solution provides with a clear road map for the long term,' said Yury Zaytsev, group information officer for Swiss Re.

'We want to significantly reduce the complexity and costs of our existing technology platforms and intefaces, and the related licensing and maintenance fess.'

To help optimise return on investment, Swiss Re is using SAP services including SAP Education and SAP Consulting to support the ongoing rollout.
