Top 10 articles: Google I/O mania, RBS IT problems and O'Dwyer petition
The most exciting stories for V3 readers last week
Last week was all about Google I/O for V3 readers. The firm finally took the wraps off its first Android tablet and unveiled details of its forthcoming Android 4.1 Jelly Bean mobile OS. We got some hands-on time with the Nexus 7 tablet, and can see it becoming the de-facto low-cost tablet - though not an iPad killer yet.
We also compared Jelly Bean to the forthcoming Windows Phone 8 Apollo release, and took a look at the merits of the Nexus 7 compared to other major rivals like the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Motorola Xoom 2.
RBS' problems continued into last week, as the software glitch that took out Natwest and other banks' payment systems still wasn't fixed. The banking group was apparently considering taking legal action against software provider CA for causing the fault, with managers at RBS blaming the problems on updates to its CA-7 automation software.
Elsewhere, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales started a petition to try and block the extradition of Richard O'Dwyer, claiming that the decision is unjust and would set a dangerous precedent.
