Educational software supplier RM is to announce another two Building Schools for the Future (BSF) deals
Educational software supplier RM is to announce another two Building Schools for the Future (BSF) deals, taking its tally of BSF contracts to more than twenty, according to analyst firm Techmarketview.
Derby City Council yesterday appointed the Balfour Beatty Education consortium - which includes RM - as preferred bidder for its BSF contract.
The contract will see RM provide managed ICT services to 18 establishments, and the three-year contract is expected to pay £35m to the company.
RM has also just signed a contract with London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. The contract is expected to be worth £44m over eight years.
Despite these contracts, the future of the BSF programme remains uncertain, with the government saying earlier this month that the programme was still under review.
Chancellor George Osborne’s budget today made no mention of the scheme.
