Met Police signs for SAP

Force to use ERP software to achieve greater efficiency

The Met Police will use SAP software at its New Scotland Yard base

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) has signed a deal with software giant SAP to implement its enterprise resource planning (ERP) application.

The Met is already a user of SAP's financial system, and has opted to roll out the vendor's ERP tools to replace existing legacy systems.

The new software will also be used to support frontline policing activities where appropriate.

The MPS would not comment on the deal, but SAP said the force is looking to "achieve greater efficiency from existing resources" as a result of the implementation, by "streamlining core processes."
