Champneys dips into accounting software

Health resort benefits from better visibility of accounts

Champneys uses new software to manage accounts

Luxury health resort chain Champneys has installed accounting software to improve order processing, control expenditure and generate detailed monthly reports.

Champneys has installed Coda’s Dream accounting software across its resorts in the UK and Goa, India, replacing its previous bespoke accounting systems.

‘We wanted a flexible system that could provide an accurate view of our financial position,’ said Champneys' group accountant Simon Royce.

‘Our previous bespoke system was inflexible with poor reporting capabilities and could not be customised to suit changes in the way we work. Using reporting tools, we will have more financial control and speed up month end reporting.’

‘Dream’s ease of integration with other systems makes it ideal for interfacing with front of house hotel and point-of-sale systems,’ he said.

‘This helps drive an informed approach to decision making by providing easy access to accurate information.’

Champneys has purchased licenses for up to 60 users of Dream and DreamView reporting software. It will be running Dream under the Microsoft Windows 2003 Operating System with a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database.
