Information Builders updates its performance management suite
WebFocus 3.1 performance management tools aim to help firms improve their efficiency
Business Intelligence specialist Information Builders has updated its WebFocus Performance Management Framework (PMF), with new features to enable a wider range of staff to benefit from performance management data.
Many firms are now implementing performance management systems at a fairly senior level for managers but are not taking into account more junior staff who could increase productivity and improve business performance if they had access to these tools, said Information Builders' Dave Armstrong.
"It's important because to drive positive behaviour people need to see and feel how what they do day-to-day is driving business objectives," Armstrong said.
WebFocus PMF 3.1 includes predictive analysis and forecasting functionality for planning; scorecard cascading, which allows users to drill through various scorecards in the enterprise; and performance dashboards, which can be rolled out to all stakeholders, Armstrong said.
"This system enables firms to not just see what's going on at a high level but understand why that's happening," Armstrong said. "When performance management is driven to a wider group of users delivery of the information has to be relevant to them and it must be transparent."
