Adobe prepares to unveil Creative Suite 3
A new Adobe release will bring Intel Macs up to date
Adobe will formally launch its Creative Suite 3 (CS3) software tomorrow but plenty of details have already leaked onto the web.
On Friday, the AppleInsider site reported that European customers will have a choice of six packages. These comprise CS3 Design for media professionals and CS3 Web aimed at site designers, each in Standard and Premium editions, CS3 Production Premium for video, and the all-you-can-eat CS3 Master Collection.
The release is significant because it adds native support for Intel-based Mac systems and fully integrates capabilities added with the late-2005 Macromedia acquisition, as well as providing a vast range of new and upgraded features.
Subsequent reports suggest actual availability of the packages from 20 April. However, some buyers could still wait on Appleās next operating system release, codenamed Leopard. Apple has said that Leopard will be released this spring, without offering further detail.
