NetSuite peps up online sales modules

SaaS software provider launches two new e-commerce solutions

On-demand business software provider NetSuite has launched two new products designed to help businesses grow their online sales.

NetSuite E-commerce Company Edition is specifically aimed at smaller firms looking to extend their online footprint through supporting sales through online auction site eBay. It includes contract-based pricing tools, invoicing, affiliate management and commissions tracking capabilities alongside multi-site, multi-language and multi-currency functionality.

Traditionally, the applications needed to support such online channels, such as enterprise resource planning, stock control, marketing and finance, need to be sourced from multiple vendors, said Toby Davidson, business development manager, NetSuite.

"Because we're one application, when someone transacts with your web site you have the information there in your CRM database so you can then cross-sell and up-sell," he added.

The NetSuite E-commerce+ Company edition is tailored for larger firms with highly distributed environments. It features additional functionality such as multiple warehouse management, serialised inventory, and bar coding and labels, said NetSuite.

"These firms want their own look and feel – their own way of presenting information and products such as via flash graphics and pop up images," said Davidson. "This product offers a more rich and in depth e-commerce experience."
