Lyquidity tightens Excel integration

IT managers to have greater control over spreadsheets

Financial software vendor Lyquidity Solutions has today launched a new version of its ComplyXL spreadsheet management tool featuring enhanced integration with Windows that will allow managers to interrogate and control spreadsheets from within Excel.

Sandy Marshall of Lyquidity said in a statement that version 1.1 would make it easier for Excel users to access ComplyXL's functionality for managing spreadsheet changes. The company claims the tool's ability to track, audit and graphically report changes made to Excel files supports firms' attempts to comply with regulations that demand they have control and visibility over accounting processes.

"With ComplyXL 1.1 a user is able to add, manage and compare saved versions by using options available from the Microsoft Excel menu," Marshall added. "New columns are available that can be added to the file details display to see at-a-glance which files have been managed and have been changed. This eliminates the need to look for signs of change on a file-by-file basis.”

Similar integration has also been achieved with Windows Explorer, the company said, so managers can interrogate spreadsheets without having installed Excel.
