Motorola has developed the world's first Wap-enabled tri-band GSM phone. The Timeport P7389 will enable mobile internet access for users virtually anywhere in the world. Current GSM-based Wap phones cannot be used in both the US and Europe. The Timeport will also allow users to access their corporate intranet while on the move. However, the phones will still only be able to dial into the internet when the user is roaming within a network that supports Wap.
