Nokia readies email phone
Nokia's E61 handset to offer access to email on the move
Nokia will this month release its E61 handset, designed for firms requiring mobile email access.
The E61, the first of Nokia’s business-focused E series, has a qwerty keypad for messaging, a large display, and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support.
The quad-band handset supports a number of mobile mail systems, including BlackBerry Connect, GoodLink, Visto Mobile, Seven Mobile Mail and Nokia’s Business Centre.
Users can edit or create documents via built-in apps that support the most common functions of Word, PowerPoint and Excel, said Nokia.
The E61 also supports the Open Mobile Alliance Device Management standard, enabling delivery and management of apps and security, such as the device’s wipe and lock features.
