Great Ormond Street serves notice for clinical information system

Great Ormond Street will implement the system across its intensive care units

The Great Ormond Street children's hospital has issued a tender for the provision of a clinical information system (CIS).

According to a contract notice published today, the successful vendor will be expected to supply, implement, support and maintain the CIS, which will be used for intensive care units at the NHS trust.

This will include hardware, software and interfaces.

Services to be provided by the successful supplier will include installation, deployment, configuration, training, project management and technical support of the system.

According to the tender document, prospective vendors “will be required to provide performance guarantees” and must demonstrate that the CIS can be deployed in a large and complex IT environment.

Interested parties have until 8 March to submit their bids.
