Mirapoint launches disaster recovery solution
New replication service ensures firms have constant access to emails and calendar data
Secure messaging specialist Mirapoint has launched a new disaster recovery solution designed to enable enterprises to comply with legislation, avoid downtime and ensure their critical email is protected.
Mirapoint Remote Site Replication (RSR) will make sure that the email service and a back-up copy of emails, calendaring and contact details are available at a secondary site, according to the firm's Adrian Hall.
He added that the solution is designed to fit in the space between its top-end single site solutions and solutions that include synchronous copies of documents, because the price difference between the two is currently very large.
"During the past 10 years the importance of emails has grown; there is more business intelligence being stored there and the majority of companies communicate with their customers by email now," said Hall. "If the email system goes down now everyone's affected."
The solution is available as an add-on software licence to Mirapoint's Message Server, and is priced at $15,000
