Haringey Council signs IT outsourcing deal
London council gets deal for service of all its IT needs
Haringey Council has signed a two year outsourcing deal for its IT infrastructure, with the option of a further three year extension.
The deal includes the supply and maintenance of all the council's major IT systems, including data centres, computing environments and local and wide area networks covering 400 devices and 350 servers.
Haringey Council's head of IT services, Lidia Lewis, says the deal with supplier Logicalis will help the organisation to better manage its computing systems.
'Working with Logicalis we are confident we can achieve a more secure, reliable IT environment, increasing network performance and service availability and maximising the return on investment from our existing IT infrastructure,' she said.
Under the terms of the deal Haringey, a London borough, will receive management and operational support for 70 different sites across the authority, as well as comprehensive security for remote access by council workers.
