Homes with broadband connections are set to adopt more digital services and products as the distinction between PCs and other electronic kit is reduced, according to predictions in a new report from research firm The Diffussion Group (TDG).

In its report, Broadband Networked Households: Profiling New Media Homes, TDG says the trend for consumers to use more digital products and services in the home will continue.

TDG says that over the next few years users will see a blurring of the division between their PCs and the other consumer electronic devices in the home. This will give service providers and electronics manufacturers “some exciting prospects”, it adds.

The report costs about £1,000 and is available at the URL below. ‹ www.tinyurl.com/7mknu
