Cognizant has acquired US consultancy firm Strategic Vision Consulting (SVC) for an undisclosed sum.
The systems integrator provides outsourced IT infrastructure services, data warehousing and business intelligence, content and supply chain management, and software applications services to global firms with a UK presence such as Orange, Vauxhall, and AC Nielsen.
The SVC acquisition adds around 60 consultants and administrative staff to Cognizant’s ranks, which currently number around 55,000 employees working in 35 global locations, including the UK.
SVC specialises in providing consultancy on digital distribution media asset management (MAM) and anti-piracy to media and entertainment firms looking to protect themselves from online copyright infringement and content theft, including major studios, broadcasters, post-production facilities and interactive media companies.
