Beer giant SABMiller has signed a $120m (£85m) deal with BT for networking, communications and datacentre connectivity across Latin America and Europe.
The five-year contract will see the telecoms provider managing the brewing firm’s networked IT services in the UK, as well as 10 other countries in Europe, six in Central and South America, plus connections into America, South Africa and Hong Kong.
SABMiller owns brands such as Grolsch, Miller Genuine Draft and Peroni Nastro Azzurro, as well as being one of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers in the world.
“SABMiller is a growing global brand that reaches the lives of hundreds of millions of people worldwide,” said Bill Murphy, managing director of BT Business.
“BT aims to help SABMiller achieve its goals by ensuring that the company’s communications are among the best in the world.”
