Interview with Egress Software, winner of Security Innovation of the Year

Computing speaks to Tony Pepper, CEO of Egress Software, winner of the Security Innovation of the Year award at the UK IT Industry Awards 2018

Egress Software won the Security Innovation of the Year award at the prestigious UK IT Industry Awards 2018.

The awards were attended by over 1,500 of the UK IT industry's top professionals, who enjoyed a fabulous occasion in Battersea Park.

Computing has published a gallery of all the winners on the night, and a further sequence revealing all the best photos from the pre and post awards parties.

Tony Pepper, CEO of Egress Software, previously told Computing about his organisation's achievement in being able to service higher levels of government.

"The challenge has always been finding a software company to meet [government] requirements," said Pepper. "The NCSC [National Cyber Security Centre] has never been comfortable before [with other products], but we've finally cracked that problem.

"So we're now looking to expand into helping customers share sensitive content right the way up the classification spectrum. Which is for us a fabulous opportunity which will open up new markets."
