Lisa Penny

Part of the IT Leaders 100 - a list of the most influential IT leaders in the UK in 2025.

Lisa Penny began her IT career in the RAF, where she served for more than two decades – beginning in the communications space and ending as a qualified ICT technician.

After leaving the forces Lisa brought her technical expertise to the private sector, holding IT roles at HPE, Bettys & Taylors and Pure Collection. She progressed to managerial positions at Green-tech and then Grantley Hall, where she was promoted to Head of Information Technology in April 2024.

Lisa now leads IT operations at the five-star hotel in Yorkshire, supporting complex hospitality systems, high-profile events and a demanding guest environment.

Known for her adaptability, drive and “can do” mindset, Lisa blends deep technical knowledge with a calm, user-focused approach to service delivery.
