Guus Dekkers

Guus Dekkers is a seasoned technology executive with deep international experience across retail, aerospace, automotive and telecoms. As CTO and executive committee member at Tesco, he oversees enterprise, customer and colleague-facing technologies, shaping the group’s digital, data, AI and cybersecurity strategy while ensuring operational excellence at scale.

Known for delivering transformation in complex environments, Guus combines strategic vision with hands-on execution. He has led large-scale technology organisations through shifts in digital architecture, agile development and cloud delivery, balancing internal capability with external innovation and acquired IP.

He is a strong advocate of pragmatic change, focusing on value creation and sustainable performance while aligning with long-term business goals. Guus has driven major organisational redesigns, culture change and modernisation efforts across global teams, consistently delivering impact through clarity, communication and an agile mindset.

His career spans leadership roles in seven multinationals across six countries, including Airbus, Siemens, Continental and Johnson Controls. He also serves as a non-executive director at Swisscom.
