Laura Duffey

Laura is CIO for Low Carbon Solutions at Shell, a role she assumed in November 2023. She leads Shell's digital strategy for its low carbon initiatives, focusing on decarbonisation and sustainable energy solutions. Her work involves driving digital transformation across Shell's low carbon portfolio, ensuring the integration of innovative technologies to support Shell's sustainability goals.

Laura has spent her entire career at Shell, holding various senior IT positions. Her previous role was as CIO for Shell Emerging Energy Solutions, where she established and optimised a digital organisation that advanced Shell's efforts in hydrogen, carbon capture & storage, and nature-based solutions. She led strategic pivots and prioritised initiatives to create a data-driven roadmap for emerging energy sectors. Her role also required extensive collaboration with various Shell businesses, including renewable generation, energy marketing and trading.

Laura has experience in IT strategy, innovation and project delivery across different business units. Her career at Shell has been marked by her ability to drive organisational change, foster strategic partnerships and deliver innovative digital solutions.
