One of the Tech Women Celebration 50 - women changing the ratio of the tech workforce

Rebecca joined Secureworks in 2014, where she developed an immediate passion for cybersecurity. Rebecca quickly expanded her cyber acumen, working across a variety of roles including Business Operations and Incident Command, finally moving into Secureworks first Threat Intelligence Knowledge Manager role in 2022 within the Counter Threat Unit.

Rebecca is primarily focused on the implementation of knowledge management processes and procedures for the Counter Threat Unit, the ingestion and management of Secureworks Threat Intelligence knowledge, and its associated quality, storage and maintenance.

Rebecca is also an advocate for all things Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, building inclusive best practices not only into the way she works, but also speaking frequently at events on how Threat Intelligence can be a more inclusive space. She also shines a light via various forums on what more can be done to create a safer and more collaborative environment for underrepresented groups.

This has involved participating in groups and events such as the London cohort of 'Empowering Women to Lead Cyber Security' and Rebecca also now mentors in the space as part of STEMAspire, Tech She Can and STEM Ambassadors. She considers her biggest achievement to date her role in FIRSTCON23, where she was invited to Montreal to create and present their first ever panel on empowering women in Incident Response and Cyber Intelligence to an 800 strong attendee list. This has spearheaded several powerful industry conversations, with Rebecca being invited to FIRSTCON24 in Japan to further lead the discussion on women in cyber, and also to present on neurodiversity.
