Michelle Conway, Lead Data Scientist at Lloyds Banking Group has spent 12 years in the data and tech industry.

Michelle was attracted to tech by the chance to combine her passion for maths and logic with collaborating with like-minded individuals. She also loves the endless possibilities for innovation and the fast-paced nature of the industry. Making a meaningful impact on people's lives through technology is something that truly excites her.

Michelle's day job is to lead an ML Ops team at Llloyds, but she is also an ambassador for women and data, helping build communities and mentoring women to progress.

Michelle says, "I am passionate about building diverse talent and promoting female talent within the workforce. I am vocal about creating an inclusive and diverse workplace. With a focus on data science and engineering, I strive to support women in both the workplace and external networks. Being a dyslexic thinker, I am dedicated to promoting neurodiversity and ensuring equal opportunities for all."

In addition to family, another dimension to Michelle's life is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

"I've been training for the past two years and was recently promoted to a blue belt," she says. "I am passionate about martial arts and find joy in the physical and mental challenges it brings. The dedication and discipline required to excel in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are traits that helped me excel in my professional life. I've grown to love the art and the personal growth it has brought me."
